As artificial lighting is regulated by levels of lighting imposed by standards, our quality approach leads us to treat each project in a systematic customized way.
Natural lighting, when present, must be taken into account to find the right balance between the artificial lighting and the natural one and also put a management system of this balance. This will in fact make it possible to control the flux emitted by the luminaires as a function of the external input. This goes in the direction of a better control of your lighting and thus avoid any superfluous expenditure.
With this in mind, we focus our studies on two points that we consider essential:
This standard mainly concerns the lighting of indoor workplaces. Like most standards, minimum illuminance values are imposed. However, limiting oneself to standards is not a guarantee of good lighting. It is therefore important to understand the use given to the room and a perfect knowledge of the lighting to meet your needs. It is obvious that the needs of a school are completely different from those of offices or a warehouse.
Standard EN 12464-1 concerns: offices, schools, workshops, hospitals, shops and public places. In our studies we attach special care to respect certain values to be taken into consideration such as: average illuminance to maintain (Em), the glare ratio (UGR value), the uniformity index (UO), the color rendering index (IRC or RA).
We assist our customers from the pre-project phase until the end of the works. What are the criteria to respect? Your wishes? What is the ultimate use for your premises? Is it a work establishment? Do you receive public? Etc.
It is to these questions (written in a specification) that we will answer to precisely orient our study and determine the appropriate lighting solutions. In the case of an existing building or premises, we carry out an audit of the current lighting. It is a question of measuring the luminance of the contribution in artificial and natural lighting. The values thus collected allow us to analyze the existing configuration in order to improve it. The study will then propose the best solution for your needs. For a building under construction the approach is similar, except that the measurements will be made on site before construction to determine the natural contribution and thus make a projection.
